Zion is the badass bixie boss!

I’d been considering a “big chop” for months, but was anxious about letting go of my long hair and trusting the right person to do it.

I also wanted a cute, artsy cut that would work for my unruly Eastern European texture — and to not get shoved into Karen cut assumptions because I’m over 30. NO KAREN CUTS ALLOWED!🤮

Zion took time to listen to me and look over photos from my prior pixie cuts — and even heard me out about my “weird back of head shape.” They had all the patience and kindness of a hair therapist!

Watching Zion skillfully razor through my heaps of thick, coarse, damaged hair was like watching an ice sculpture artist get to work with a chainsaw and somehow end up with a stunningly detailed piece.

Pretty mind-melting to watch. Nothing but precision, and the focus of an artist genuinely committed to their craft.

You could see all of the geometry calculations running through Zion’s head as they customized the cut for my unique texture, glasses, and face shape. In a world where AI is constantly being forced upon us, it’s so refreshing to see an everyday example of true human intelligence and craftsmanship.

At first, I didn’t know what to think of my new bixie — but the moment I walked outside and it dried (you know Colorado, everything dries instantly) the cut took shape and it was MAGICAL.

My god. The architecture. The structure. The final results were incredible!

Each layer of my new cut knows exactly where it needs to be — and it’s infinitely flattering, even when waking up with bedhead. Sorcery and witchcraft must have been involved, I swear.

So if you’re all “Waaaaah, an inclusive space means my short cut may come out masculine 😩” — Girl, no. Come on. Be so for real. I already told you inclusive means inclusive.
